Top Ten – The highest pass roads in the Alps
Hello and welcome to MX-5 Road Trips, the canal over the mountain passes of the Alps. Separating mountains, connecting mountain roads, that’s probably why they emanate a certain fascination. When I was jung, I was fascinated by the Hindu Kush and the Himalayas, so I drove with my friend Wolfgang and a 2CV their passes, which are over 4000 m high. In later years it was the Assekrem in the Central Sahara, part of the Hoggar Mountains. When we get children we drove into the Atlas Mountains in the Mercedes 508 and made the pass roads there unsafe.
For a few years now, my wife and I have limited ourselves to the Alpine passes, we exchanged the 2CV from earlier years for a Mazda MX-5 (Miata).
This video is about the 10 highest passable passes in the Alps, more precisely there are 11, because the 10th place is shared by 2 passes, the Colle dei Morti and the Nufenen. Now the pandemic has thwarted our plans this year, and I don’t want to postpone the project for another year, so 2 passes will be missing in this video, the Colle dei Morti and the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. In addition, I had planned drone recordings and new recordings with the 360 degree camera, that too has to be postponed.
Nevertheless, I hope the video is interesting enough and I hope you enjoy it.
